A well-balanced, decorative mid-period Victorian Brass & Iron bedstead. Simple patterned cast iron ‘T’ joints. These are complimented by a classic ‘rods and knobs’ brass scheme culminating in robustly sized, cast brass ball top knobs.
Skillfully adapted from a 4ft / 120cm small double frame to today’s popular 5ft (150cm UK King Size) and restored by Bed Bazaar in the late 1990’s. This bedstead’s condition, fit, and finish are true testaments to our unsurpassed, high standards of workmanship. As such, this bedstead can be tidied up or fully re-worked to its pre-existing stove enamelled paint finish, and all brass mounts re-polished accordingly.
